The convoy of 78 buses, in which around 2500 CRPF personnel were travelling from Jammu to Srinagar, came under attack at around 3.15 PM at Ladhu Modi Lethpora. This is the deadliest attack on security forces in Jammu and Kashmir so far. Earlier in September 2016, an Army camp was stormed by terrorists in Uri, killing 19 soldiers.
Jaish Terrorist, Suspect In Pulwama Attack, Killed In Kashmir Encounter A terrorist believed to be a "key conspirator" in the terror attack in Pulwama is among the three Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terrorists killed in an encounter with security forces in Tral area in south Kashmir on Sunday. Mudasir Ahmed Khan alias 'Mohd Bhai' is suspected to have arranged the vehicle and explosives used in the suicide attack on February 14 in which 40 CRPF personnel were killed. "Pertinently the investigation so far conducted revealed that Mudasir was one of the key conspirators of the recent Pulwama attack," police said. "Arms and ammunition including assault rifles were recovered from the site of encounter. All these materials have been taken in the case records for further investigation and to probe their complicity in other terror cases," the statement added. News agency PTI, quoting officials, reported that Khan had been in constant contact with suicide attacker Adil Ahmed Dar, who exploded a car packed with explosives near a convoy of the CRPF or Central Reserve Police Force convoy. The National Investigation Agency (NIA), which is probing the Pulwama terror attack, carried out searches at his residence on February 27.

"Ready To Sacrifice Other Son For India": Father Of Killed Pulwama Jawan The bereaved father of a CRPF personnel who was killed in the terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama in a heart-wrenching message said he is ready to sacrifice his other son as well for the country. He, however, also said Pakistan must be given a "befitting reply" for the attack. Ratan Thakur was among the 40 victims in the attack orchestrated by Pakistan-based terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed. His grieving father in Bihar's Bhagalpur has not bowed down to terrorism. Teary-eyed, he said he is going to send his other son to fight for the country as well even after losing one son "in Mother India's service". On Thursday, over 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were killed and many others were critically injured when Jaish terrorists targeted a convoy with a car bomb in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district. Reports suggested that the vehicle used by the terrorists was a Mahindra Scorpio carrying more than 350 kg of explosives. Jaish-e-Mohammed has claimed responsibility for the attack in what is the worst attack on the security personnel in the state.
